 | At the end of the 1990s, SSSB purchased a 14-storey building called Medicinaren in Huddinge. There are around 300 housing units in the building – a mixture of student rooms and apartments.
The building is opposite Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge, which in turn is situated beside the Novum Research Park and Södertörn University College. The southern campus of the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH-Syd, is also located in this area. The presence of these institutions means that there are around 15,000 students in the area. Flemingsberg Shopping Centre, with its grocery store and local services, is situated right next to Medicinaren. On the other side, the building borders on a park where you can cycle, jog or walk.
You can catch the commuter train in to Stockholm city centre from the nearby station, Flemingsberg/Stockholm Syd, where a number of longer distance trains also stop. The station is a 10-minute walk away, and the train ride to Stockholm Central station takes about 15 minutes.
Renovations are carried out during 2013
We are doing out a number of renovations in the building. For example will we renovate 35 damaged (due to damp) bathrooms. We will constantly keep you informed about the work and hope for your patience and forbearance with the inconveniences that this entails.
