 | Strix is situated in Huvudsta in Solna, close to lush green countryside and to central Solna and the Karolinska Institutet. Strix is a large building that houses the house caretakers' office and nearly 300 accommodation units, with a mixture of student rooms and apartments.
At nearby Ulvsundasjön, part of Lake Mälaren, there are plenty of activities including an outdoor swimming area, tennis courts, canoe rental and picturesque paths for walking and jogging. The area is also close to the wide green expanses of Haga Park and the Råsunda national arena. If you want to go into the city centre it doesn't take long on a bike, or you can take the metro from Västra Skogen – only two stops to Fridhemsplan. If you take the metro in the other direction, you’ll come to Kista, where the Royal Institute of Technology has a campus called the IT University.
The housing area association, encompassing the nearby Pax complex, is called "Strax" and manages a pub and a sauna which form part of the building. | |
