 | Vätan is just a few blocks from Stureplan, right in the heart of central Stockholm. Here you have everything on your doorstep, whilst living on a quieter back street right near Birger Jarlsgatan. Stureplan is possibly Stockholm’s top entertainment location, with all manner of bars, restaurants, cinemas and shops (although the nearby boutiques hardly cater for those on a student budget).
Humlegården, just one block away, is a green oasis for those moments when city life gets a little too hectic. Here is the National Library of Sweden, which collects everything that is printed and published in Sweden, and which has a wonderful reading room for those who like to study in peace. Climb up the steps of Brunkebergsåsen and you will find yourself in the charming, peaceful area surrounding the magnificent Johannes Church.
Vätan offers compact one and two room apartments with various layouts. On the 7th floor, there is a communal roof terrace. | Address: David Bagares gata 6, 111 38 Stockholm Metro stop: Östermalmstorg/Hötorget
Vätan was built in 1983 but blends in well with the surroundings of older buildings. The apartments design is irregular.
