To live in an apartment not owned by SSSB Subletting for a fixed length of time
SSSB has agreements with other housing companies to sublet a certain number of apartments to university students. We call these sublet apartments, since SSSB rents and doesn’t own the facilities. The contracts for sublet apartments are for a fixed time-period and cannot be extended once notice of termination has been served. Neither may these apartments be sublet to a third party.
Subletting until further notice
SSSB also has agreements with other housing companies to sublet a certain number of apartments to students of higher education, the difference here being that these apartments are not let for a fixed length of time. Staying in one of these apartments is similar to staying in one of SSSB’s own apartments. The major difference for the tenants is that the landlord (not SSSB) is responsible for repairs and maintenance.
However, the housing areas have SSSB house caretakers who handle collecting of keys, etc.
Sublet apartments without a time limit are located at Vidar, Marieberg and Tantogatan.
