Maintenance work is constantly being carried out in SSSB properties. Essential maintenance work does not entitle you to a rent reduction, even if you may experience some disturbance as a tenant.

Our goal is to have the right level of maintenance in order to keep the housing in good working order at the lowest possible cost. All apartment maintenance is preceded by an inspection. If you have any questions or wish to discuss renovating of your apartment, please contact your house caretaker, who can carry out an inspection and assess e.g. the present state and the need for redecoration.



Painting ceilings and walls

Ceilings and walls are repainted when the need arises and your house caretaker is the one who decides on the matter.


White goods (cookers, refrigerators, freezers, etc)

White goods are only replaced when necessary. Again this decision is up to your house caretaker. When assessing the situation, the costs of repair are set against the cost of buying a new machine.


Wood flooring (pine or parquet)

Floors are sanded when the need arises and your house caretaker is the one who decides on the matter.


Other types of flooring

Floors are replaced when necessary and your house caretaker is the one who decides on the matter.


Other apartment fittings

Fittings may be replaced as part of modernisation measures or when a unit breaks and can no longer be repaired. If the damage is wilful or has been caused by your negligence, you may be liable to pay compensation.
