Following an inspection, the house caretaker may decide to e.g. replace a floor or redecorate parts of your apartment. If you would like a particular colour scheme or material, please contact your house caretaker or the contractor hired to do the work.
Whilst the work is being carried out, you will not be able to use the whole of your apartment. Our assessment is, however, that you can continue to live there whilst the work is being done. The materials used when painting and laying floors are water-based and therefore completely safe to breathe in. However, you should be somewhat careful if you are pregnant or if you have very small children. In these cases, please contact your house caretaker as soon as possible before the work is supposed to start.
If you do not want any maintenance measures to be carried out, you are entitled to refuse them. Please contact your house caretaker if this is the case.
Since this type of surface repair is part of normal maintenance procedures, you do not have grounds for a rent reduction.
If you do not intend to live in your apartment whilst the work is being done, you should inform your house caretaker and agree on how to keep in contact during the time.
