2016 has been a happy year of new construction
Stockholms Studentbostäder has a unique position in Stockholm as the students’ own housing foundation. We are a market-leading community player with an important and long-term mission to provide Stockholm’s union-affiliated students with housing for the duration of their studies.
As we approach the end of the financial year of 2016, Stockholms Studentbostäder can put yet another eventful and fruitful year behind it. It has been a happy year of new construction. In total, new production of 259 student apartments began during the year, which exceeded set goal for the year. During the year, all budgeted maintenance projects were also carried out according to plan. As a result, it gave us refurbished outdoor environment outdoor environments, a large number of new kitchens, bathrooms and more energy-efficient homes.
With its approximately 8 000 student homes, Stockholms Studentbostäder has about 65 percent of all the student accommodation in Stockholm and is therefore not only the largest supplier in the county of Stockholm but also in the entire country. Stockholms Studentbostäder has the aim between 2010 and 2020 to build 2 000 new student homes. We have a several new construction projects in progress and see good opportunities to maintain an even production rate of approximately 250 new student housing a year a number of years to come.
