To put yourself on the waiting-list, you must fulfil certain requirements:
If you have been on our waiting-list before, you don’t need to re-register. Log on to My pages and reactivate your place on the waiting-list.
You can only be a student union member if you have been accepted on a programme at an institute of higher education in Stockholm. Non-student union members can still register on the waiting-list and collect a certain number of credit days, but after that you must either become a union member or suspend your place on the waiting-list.
After 90 days, there will be information on My pages telling you the deadline for when you must suspend your place on the waiting-list or become an SSCO-affiliated union member, in order not to lose your place on the list.
To collect credit days, it is important that we can find you as a registered Student Union member. Be aware of the following:
After 90 days on our waiting-list, a Suspend button will appear on My pages and you will be able to see the deadline date by which you must click the button and put your queue on hold, unless you have become a full student union member, in order not to lose your place on the list.
Suspending your place on the waiting-list means that you retain the days you have saved so far but you can’t collect any more days until you have become a student union member.
If, while you are on the waiting-list, you cancel your student union membership, your credit days will be automatically suspended. If you become a member again, your place on the waiting list will be automatically reactivated and you will continue to collect credit days.
Please note that you can only suspend your place on the waiting-list for a maximum of 36 months in total.
If you are a member of an SSCO-affiliated Student Union but have nevertheless had your place on the waiting-list suspended, you must always contact your Student Union and check your Student Union membership registration. It is your Student Union that must enter your details in the register. We can’t register any memberships.
Check that you have given the same email address and personal ID number to the Student Union as you have registered with us on My pages. Your details must be identical on both registers.
Your credit-days will be reset when:
To reactivate a reset place on the waiting-list, you log on to My pages.
Priority is only granted on special grounds. These include medical or social reasons as well as disability. Being homeless, wanting a home in the centre of the city or wanting to swap to a bigger apartment are generally not sufficient grounds for being approved priority for a student home.
Read more about priority on My pages.
