Tenancy Review
To be able to live in our student housing, you need to meet our housing conditions every semester. Therefore, we perform a tenancy review to ensure that it is students who live in our homes.
Who is included in the tenancy review?
When you have lived with us for about six months, you will be included in your first tenancy review. The review takes place twice a year – once in the spring (usually in April) and once in the autumn (usually in October).
We also perform random checks outside of these periods. This means you must always be able to demonstrate that you meet our housing conditions, regardless of when you moved in.
See your status in the tenancy review
We make a single check towards Ladok and it shows if you have received 15 credits reported. If you have reported fewer than 15 credits, you will need to certify your studies with further documents.
You log in to My Pages to see your status. You may have any of the following:
Tenancy review approved
You don’t have to do anything.
Lack of study result
You need to upload a transcript of records from Ladok showing that you have received at least 15 credits during the current review period (16 February–15 September for the autumn review, 16 September–15 February for the spring review). You also need to upload a certificate of registration for the current semester.
Lack of study results and Student Union membership
You need to upload your transcript of records from Ladok showing that you have received at least 15 credits reported during the current review period (February 16–September 15 for the autumn review, or September 16–February 15 for the spring review). You also need to upload a certificate of registration for the current semester. Additionally, your Student Union membership for the current semester must be registered on My Pages.
Lack of Student Union membership
Your Student Union membership for the current semester must be registered on My Pages.
Further documents
You need to upload additional certificates. We will notify which certificates in your inbox on My pages and your registered e-mail address.
Free term
You need to show that you will study at least 15 credits at an SSCO-affiliated university next semester.
After free term

Instructions for downloading requested documents
What happens after the tenancy review?
Once the review period ends, the option to upload certificates on My Pages will close. A termination notice will be sent to all tenants who do not have the status “Tenancy review approved.”
If your tenancy review is not approved
If you receive the status Not approved, a termination letter will be sent to you. In order for us to withdraw the termination, you must, in addition to uploading documents during the tenancy review period, also email certificates showing that you have completed at least 15 credits during the current semester (spring or autumn).
If your tenancy review is not approved in the autumn, you must move out no later than the end of February.
If your tenancy review is not approved in the spring, you must move out no later than the end of August.
Our manual control of study results
Depending on where you are in your studies, you need to submit different types of certificates. Below you can read what applies to you.
PhD students
You need to be an active doctoral student to be eligible for student housing. Pre-doctoral and postdoctoral students are not approved.
You can be automatically approved if your university has registered at least 50% study activity in Ladok. If not, you need to upload a registration certificate that confirms your doctoral studies and shows at least 50% study activity during the current semester. The certificate must also confirm that you are registered for the same semester. Here you will find our certificate template.
If you get ECTS credits
We need to manually review your study results if your credits are reported in Ladok outside the current reporting period (16 February–15 September for the autumn semester, 16 September–15 February for the spring semester), or if you do not have any credits reported in Ladok at all. In that case, you need to upload certificates on My Pages.
Your study results must be registered in Ladok no later than the final day of the reporting period. Re-exams registered after this date will not be accepted.
Re-exams or credits registered after the deadline will not be accepted for the current review.
If your credits were earned during the review period but registered after the deadline, you also need to upload a certificate according to our template.
If you don’t get ECTS credits
You need to upload a certificate on My pages that proves that you are studying and have completed studies of at least 50%. Please ask an authorized person at your school to write a certificate according to our template.
Parental leave previous semester
You can be granted an exemption and be on parental leave if you collect parental allowance continuously during the entire period (semester), corresponding to at least 2 days per study week. You can be granted an exemption for a maximum of 2 semesters in a row. During your total stay with us, you can be granted a waiver for a maximum of 4 semesters.
If you have been on parental leave during the previous semester, you need to show the following certificates:
- A certificate from Försäkringskassan showing that you have received parental allowance. The certificate must also state how the parental allowance was taken out – that is, who took out the parental allowance, during which period, and how many days it was used. Parental allowance must have been paid continuously with at least two days per working week throughout the semester.
- If you do not receive parental allowance, you need to show a certificate from your university proving parental leave of at least 2 days per working week throughout the semester.
- A certificate of registration for the current semester of at least 15 credits.
You apply for parental leave at SSCO’s Housing Delegation. Here you will find our application form.
If you have 15 credits reported in Ladok for the previous semester but lack Student Union membership for the current autumn semester, you will not be able to upload your certificates on My Pages. E-mail your certificate to us instead.

Blocked from booking when terminating a rental agreement
If we cancel your rental agreement, we have three month termination time and then you will be blocked from booking a new home during the termination time and until six months after moving out date.
Exemption
You can apply for an exemption from the study and Student Union membership requirement if you have medical/social reasons or want to appeal our dismissal. Read more about how to apply to the Housing Committee.
