Ground work and improvements of the fire access road at Forskarbacken 7–21
We will be carrying out ground work on the fire access road behind Forskarbacken 7–21.
The work involves removing contaminated soil (PCB) and transporting it away. PCB is a substance that was previously used in building materials and is now being removed to meet current environmental regulations. The work will be carried out in accordance with applicable environmental and safety regulations.
The area will then be filled with new material, asphalted and widened to meet the requirements for an emergency access route. During the work, roots may be affected, which could result in some trees needing to be removed. New lighting will also be installed to improve safety in the area.
Preliminary schedule:
The work is planned to start on May 25, 2026, and continue for approximately 5–6 weeks, until July 10, 2026.
How this may affect you:
- Loud noise will occur at times on weekdays between 08:00 and 17:00
- Heavy traffic, mainly trucks, will be present in the area
- Construction machinery will be operating behind the buildings
- The stairs leading up to the fire access road will be closed during the work
The work area will be fenced off and clearly marked by the contractor.
