Our types of rental agreements

We offer different types of tenancy agreements depending on the home and how long it is available for rent. Here you can read more about the different types of agreements and what applies to each one.

Standard agreement

A standard agreement is the type of tenancy agreement we primarily offer and is open-ended. You can live with us as long as you meet our housing requirements, but for a maximum of six years.

You can terminate your tenancy agreement directly on My Pages. The notice period is always two months, even if you move to another home within SSSB.

When you sign a standard agreement, your queue days are deleted. You can then reactivate your place in the queue and start collecting new queue days.

Open-ended agreement with waiver of security of tenure

When you sign an open-ended tenancy agreement that is limited to a maximum of four years, you also need to sign a waiver of security of tenure. This means that you do not have the right to remain in the home after we have terminated the tenancy agreement.

We always terminate the tenancy agreement with at least three months’ notice. If we terminate the agreement so that your total tenancy period is shorter than twelve months, you will get your queue days back, provided that you remain in the home until the date on which the tenancy agreement ends.

Fixed-term tenancy agreement

Before major renovations or other work, we may need to relocate tenants from a property. If the homes remain vacant for a longer period before the work begins, we may rent them out on fixed-term tenancy agreements.

A fixed-term tenancy agreement is valid for a maximum of twelve months. When you sign a fixed-term tenancy agreement, you keep your queue days, provided that you remain in the home for the entire agreement period.

Waiver of security of tenure

When you sign a fixed-term tenancy agreement, you also need to sign a waiver of security of tenure. This means that you do not have the right to remain in the home after the end date specified in the tenancy agreement.
