We are renovating at Kungshamra
We are renovating and rebuilding several properties and outdoor areas at Kungshamra over the coming years. To make it easier to get an overview of the area and where the work will take place, you can view our map here: See the area map of Kungshamra.
Below, we have divided the information into what is currently ongoing, what will start soon, and which apartments are rented out until upcoming renovations begin – which affects the tenancy agreement.
Ongoing renovations
Renovation and rebuilding inside the buildings
Kungshamra 51 – Timeline: March 2025 – May 2026
How this may affect you as a tenant in the area:
- Fenced-off areas around the affected buildings
- Construction site establishment at Kungshamra 51
- Limited accessibility in certain areas
- Construction traffic and noise on weekdays between 08:00–17:00
Renovation of outdoor areas and façades
Kungshamra 31 – External PCB remediation of window joints and eaves.
Kungshamra 32–36 – Outdoor courtyard work, preliminarily completed in June 2026.
How this may affect you as a tenant in the area:
- Periodic disruptive noise on weekdays between 08:00–16:00
- Scaffolding will be installed around the building where the PCB remediation is carried out, which may result in some visibility into the apartments during the work
- A construction lift will be placed at the gable facing the road at Kungshamra 31
Planned renovations
At the following addresses, we are planning to begin major renovation projects with the intended project start dates listed below. As all timelines are preliminary, dates may be adjusted. Under the heading Apartments rented out until renovation start, you can read about how letting conditions are affected until the renovation begins.
Planned renovation 2026
- Kungshamra 42–46 – Project start: April 2, 2026
- Kungshamra 31 – Project start: May 5, 2026
- Kungshamra 71 – Preliminary project start: August 2026
Planned renovation 2027–2028
- Kungshamra 41 – Preliminary project start: 2027/2028
- Kungshamra 52–56 – Preliminary project start: 2027/2028
- Kungshamra 64 – Preliminary project start: 2027/2028
- Kungshamra 72–76 – Preliminary project start: 2027/2028
Apartments rented out until renovation start
Several properties are rented out until renovation begins. Special contractual terms apply to these apartments. When signing the contract, you must sign a waiver of security of tenure.
This means that you do not have the right to remain in the accommodation once we have terminated the tenancy agreement ahead of renovation. We always terminate tenancy agreements with at least three months’ notice. If you wish to continue living with us, you will need to book a new apartment using your credit days.
